My Cannes contender: the video Queens by The Blaze

After winning a Grand Prix in film craft in 2017 for their unbelievably impressive video Territory and after recently winning 4 D&AD Pencils for their – just as – unbelievably impressive video Queens, the latter is one of my main Cannes contenders for this year.

French directing and music-making duo The Blaze doesn’t only make music that truly lifts listeners in a very positive way (and I’ve seen them live), they understand the time we are all living in; that’s why their video’s have so much impact.

Here’s some behind-the-scenes photography from Nicolas Poillot.
