Andreas Nilsson’s Cannes contender: This is (not) America

The Swede Andreas Nilsson is director from Epic Split, among many other astonishing commercials. This is his favorite for Cannes Lions:

‘In general, an ad that often works for me is an ad that seduces with beauty and poetry at first and then comes sneaking up from behind like a fucked up rubber snake that bites you in the ass,  injecting it with comedy serum. For Cannes I make an exception: Hiro Murai´s video for Childish Gambino should win everything. It’s the only true masterpiece that I saw 2018. It will be remembered for a long time. It blew me away.’
